Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to children, ensuring their well-being and development. This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to enhancing the lives of those they care for, while also being able to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.

You will ideally hold or be working towards a Level 3 or 4 in Residential Care or equivalent.

Duties

Provide direct support and care to children, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being. Assist in the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs. Engage children in various activities that promote learning and development, including educational games and social interactions. Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and other professionals regarding the child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Document daily activities, observations, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies. Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes.

Experience

Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is advantageous. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children, families, and colleagues. Proficiency in IT applications for documentation and reporting purposes is beneficial.
