What You'll Be Doing
Building trusting, positive relationships with children through consistency, empathy, and respect
Supporting children with daily routines, education, activities, and emotional regulation
Using trauma-informed approaches to help children feel safe and understood
Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to promote each child's wellbeing
Keeping accurate records and contributing to care plans and risk assessments
Promoting a warm, homely environment where children feel a sense of belonging
Acting as a positive role model and champion for each child's potential
What We're Looking For
A genuine passion for supporting children
Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Strong communication skills and a reflective, team-focused approach
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights and sleep-ins
Experience in residential childcare is welcome but not essential; full training is provided
