Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team. This role is vital in providing leadership and support within a residential setting for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a strong ability to communicate effectively, and a passion for fostering a safe and nurturing environment. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing care plans, ensuring the well-being of the children, and guiding a team of childcare professionals.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise a team of childcare staff in delivering high-quality care to children in a residential setting. Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans tailored to each child's needs. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their personal growth and development. Communicate effectively with children, families, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support. Drive initiatives that promote the safety and well-being of all residents. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's progress and care plans. Provide training and support to staff members to enhance their skills in childcare practices. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss strategies for improvement and share best practices.

Qualifications



Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike. Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs as required by the role. Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes is advantageous. A compassionate approach with the ability to inspire trust and confidence in children under your care. Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work are desirable but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 31,953.00-33,024.00 per year
