ARC HD Services Ltd is part of Community Integrated Care and is a specialist care provider that delivers residential care and 1:1 support for young people aged 9-18 who face significant social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. These include conditions such as ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and trauma-related behavioural challenges.
They operate three children's homes, each designed to support up to three young people. The homes are described as warm, welcoming, and homely, with a strong emphasis on individualised, child-centred care. Each young person has their own bedroom, bathroom, and lounge, alongside communal areas for meals and social interaction.
We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our amazing team at Woodside on a full time permanent contract supporting the next generation of stars to live the best life possible.

Welcome to Our Home - Woodside
Woodside is a calm, homely, and therapeutic bungalow supporting up to three young people aged 11-18. We specialise in helping children and adolescents facing mental health challenges including ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and significant childhood trauma.

About the Home

• A spacious bungalow with private bedrooms, bathrooms, and lounges for each young person.
• A large communal lounge and dining room for shared meals and connection.
• A private back garden with a summer house and outdoor seating.
• Located in the village of Grateley, with easy access to Andover, Salisbury, Southampton, Basingstoke, and the New Forest.
• Grateley train station is a short walk away, offering direct links to London in under two hours.
• Surrounded by rustic walks and nature, ideal for those who love the outdoors.

About the Role

• You'll work 1:1 with a young person during each shift.
• Shifts range from 9 to 15 hours, with flexible breakdowns based on the young person's needs.
• Sleep-in duties are part of the role.
• You'll receive specialist training in attachment theories, trauma-informed practice, and other relevant areas.

Whilst previous experience is desirable it is not essential as you will be trained and supported to work with our young people. You do however, need to be passionate about working in this type of environment, to encourage our young people's participation in education, provide social and independence learning opportunities and emotional support.

A typical working week would be 39 hours plus one sleeping in duty. The 39 hours are usually worked over three days (2 15 hour days and a 9 hour day) throughout the week. Staff benefit from having one in three weekends off.
Successful applicants will have a full driving license for a manual car and be happy to complete an enhanced DBS check.
