Annual Salary is inclusive of 1 sleep-in per week at 40 each

Base rate starts at 12.21 per hour (24,761.88 a year) to 13.32 per hour (27,011.88 a year). Annual salary is based on an average 39-hour week, and is pro rata for part time.

About us

Smoothstone Care and Education provide safe, stimulating care and aspirational educational opportunities to children and young people aged between 11 and 18 with a range of complex speech, language and communication difficulties including autism. The young people may also have additional learning difficulties and display associated challenging behaviours.

We are looking to recruit competent, experienced, and passionate support workers.

Candidates will have at least six months experience within a similar setting, a working knowledge of autism and will already hold a Level 3 Diploma in residential childcare or equivalent or be willing to work towards it. Holding a valid driving licence is essential.

Positions

Full and Part time Children's Support Worker positions available, All successful candidates will be expected to display a commitment to promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of our Young People and to participate in all activities with the young people including in the classroom setting.

Shift Patterns

A combination of early shifts, late shifts and full days with occasional sleep-in duties. All positions include working some weekends and bank holidays.

Early 07:30-15:00 Late 14:30- 22.00 or sleep Full 07:30- 22:00 or sleep Nights 21:45 - 07:45 - (Waking Night Support Workers only)
