Job Summary

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities and personal development. Your primary focus will be to provide compassionate care and support, ensuring the well-being and safety of those you assist. This position requires a proactive approach to implementing care plans and fostering a positive environment for growth and learning.

Duties

Provide direct support to children in various settings, including home and community environments. Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs. Engage with children in educational and recreational activities to promote their social skills and emotional well-being. Maintain clear communication with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child's care. Document progress and any changes in behaviour or needs accurately and promptly. Drive to various locations as required to provide support services. Utilise IT skills for record keeping, communication, and reporting purposes. Must be prepared to work in the evenings and weekends.

Skills

Experience in childcare or working with children is desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Proficiency in IT applications for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is essential to facilitate travel between locations. A compassionate nature with a commitment to supporting the development of children in your care.
