30,500 - 31,720 per annum (dependent on experience)

Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

1 shift on / 2 shifts off (rolling rota)

Children's Support Worker

. Our home supports children and young people who have experienced trauma, helping them feel safe, supported, and empowered within a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

About the Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will provide both emotional and practical support to children and young people with

Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

. You will be a positive role model, helping them develop independence, essential life skills, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent care and emotional support tailored to each young person's needs. Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model. Implement therapeutic strategies to promote wellbeing and resilience. Encourage independence and personal development. Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year's experience in residential childcare -

Preferred

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) -

Preferred

Understanding of therapeutic approaches to care. Calm, empathetic, and child-focused approach. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Full UK driving licence -
