LOCAL Popular Chinese Takeaway requires a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chinese food preparation

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements to existing offerings Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment Manage time effectively during busy service periods to meet customer expectations

Qualifications

Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with a strong focus on food preparation and culinary skills Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently Basic maths skills for portion control, measurements, and billing purposes Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and interact with guests when necessary Experience in serving guests directly is advantageous but not essential A passion for culinary arts, creativity, and continuous learning are highly valued
