We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Chip Shop staff to join our team. The ideal candidates will be reliable, able to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis, ideally have experience in a similar role and customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Chip Shop assistant , you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including kitchen areas and dining spaces. Uphold food safety regulations and practices at all times. Engage with customers to promote menu items and upsell products effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for sales.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to upsell products through effective communication and customer engagement. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders. A passion for food preparation and serving, with a keen eye for detail.
