Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Oversee meal preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification and presented attractively. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients while managing inventory levels effectively. Implement standard operating procedures for food handling and preparation to maintain compliance with food safety regulations. Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally, striving to enhance the overall dining experience. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking. Previous managerial or supervisory experience within a restaurant or food service setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
