Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chip Shop Worker to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service and high-quality food to our customers. As a Chip Shop Worker, you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, primarily focusing on chips and related dishes. Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and upselling menu items when appropriate. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen.

Skills

Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Ability to upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. A helpful attitude towards colleagues and customers alike, fostering a positive work environment.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
