Chocolarder is a well-established chocolate maker based in Falmouth, now opening our very own shop here in our home town.
We're looking for an experienced retail manager, who can work effectively on their own while representing the wider company and team to customers.
Are you looking to join a small passionate company where your impact will be noticed and you'll get to talk/think/dream about nothing but ethical chocolate?
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right passion and ambition to make things really happen.
You'll get staff discount, and an education in all things chocolate made the right way.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly organised and passionate person capable of seeing the bigger picture while still having an eye for details and who is excited to make a real difference. They must be flexible enough to take on the varied challenges of our exciting growing business.
We are looking for a self-starter who has strong accountability, an eye for detail, and enthusiasm. The role is based in our new shop on Falmouth high street, with training taking place at the factory on the outskirts of Falmouth. We are a small team in a growing business and so a constructive attitude to overcoming challenges is a must.
If you want to be a part of a company that truly wants to make a difference, and have the ambition to be the best, you will fit right in.
A day in the life
Stroll down Falmouth high street, pop your head into the lovely neighbours at Finisterre.
Open the door, pop the filter coffee machine on while you set the samples out for the day - today is a new 78% dark which everyone is excited to try.
Throughout the day customers will be in and out, some just to browse, some to chat for a good 30 minutes about how the chocolate is made and what makes it taste so good, and some not really knowing what to expect.
Prepare the shelves ready for tomorrow as there is a cruise ship due in overnight - who knows the lovely people you might meet!
You'll update the sales figures and let the factory team know what's selling, what's not and what you'll need more of soon.
A quick clean and it's time to shut up shop, it's a lovely day so on your way out you pop next door for a Roskilly's ice cream for the way home.
