9 hours per week in University term time, 38.6 weeks per year. Ideally Wednesday 2.00 pm until 7.00 pm and Thursday 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Pembroke College is seeking to appoint a highly organised individual to the post of Choir Administrator to provide full support and assistance to the Director of Music. This role will chiefly involve supporting the girl Choristers.
As well as the hours stated, it will be a requirement for the job holder to be the Chaperone on Duty for any extra concerts and recordings. Adequate notice will be given for these events. If you don't have one already, you will need to obtain a Chaperone licence which will be paid for by the College.
Duties will include:
Liaising with the parents of Choristers
Providing pastoral and first aid support whilst on duty
Organising the music library
Formatting concert programmes and Orders of Service
Diary management for the Choir
Promotion of events via social media
Chaperoning girls with the College on extra-curricular activities.
You should be numerate, and at ease with Windows-based applications and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
Sound communication skills, good judgement and discretion are essential as is the need to prioritise when there are time sensitive tasks to be completed. You will be the main point of contact for Pembroke's Girl Choristers (11-18 years of age), so experience of working with young people is desirable.
Musical experience and knowledge of the choral repertoire is not essential but would be an advantage.
