We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Choir Leader to join our team in the North West.
The ideal candidate will be able to read music (grade 5 or equivalent), drive with their own vehicle, and accompany themselves on guitar or piano, teaching three and four part harmonic arrangements by rote to our community choirs, delivering weekly, term-time rehearsals for Local Vocals.
All resources, equipment and training is provided and you will be joining a team of talented local musicians, collaborating on exciting and dynamic projects together.
This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for educating and inspiring others, particularly in the context of singing together. The Choir Leader will play a vital role in fostering a positive environment while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
deliver weekly term-time rehearsals
foster a strong community within the choirs & communicate with them
book and perform at local gigs in the choirs' locations
attend termly training sessions with the Local Vocals team
have an active presence on social media
Qualifications
able to read music, grade 5 or equivalent
accompany your teaching on piano or guitar
Strong public speaking skills with the ability to educate and inspire others
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to choir members
A passion for music or related activities is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
