Job Title: Support Elf - St Enoch Square's Christmas Grotto 2025

Location: St. Enoch Square, Glasgow City Centre

Rate of Pay: 15 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary, seasonal

About the Role:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Support Elf to join our Christmas Grotto team at St. Enoch Square, Glasgow. You will help ensure the smooth running of the grotto and assist in creating a magical and memorable experience for children and families visiting Santa this festive season.

Work Dates and Times:

Thursday 20th November - 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd November - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th December - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st, Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd December - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Please note: You will receive 30 minutes of paid dressing time, but you must arrive at 10:15 AM to allow time for dressing, signing in and preparation before the grotto opens.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and maintaining the grotto area. Support Santa and the elf team throughout the day. Welcome families and help guide them through the experience. Keep the environment clean, safe and enjoyable for visitors. Contribute to a fun, festive and professional atmosphere at all times.
Requirements:

Excellent communication and people skills. Friendly, approachable and confident around children. Punctual and reliable. Comfortable wearing costume and maintaining a festive character throughout your shift. Previous experience in customer service, events or performance is highly desirable and essential.
