October 2025 - January 2026 approximately200 Hours,Monday - Friday with occasional evening work

We are recruiting a Community Programme Coordinator to support our Christmas Family Appeal which has been functioning for more than 44 years across Northern Ireland. You will lead on operational aspects in the Belfast distribution centre by coordinating people, services, logistics, transport, supporting the administration function and liaising with members of the public. You will be a key person ensuring that children and families receive gifts for Christmas Day, bringing joy and hope into their lives. Ireland's divisional headquarters (DHQ) is based in Belfast and the applicant will be required to travel between there and our distribution centre (Dec-Jan only).

Key responsibilities:



Managing volunteers. Liaising with members of the public, businesses and professionals. Organisation and distribution of donations ensuring efficient use of resources. Developing relationships internally and externally. Regular reporting and communicating to colleagues.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:



An understanding of The Salvation Army's Christian ethos and values in the community. Professionalism. A high level of English and numeracy. Experience of working with technology/software. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A full UK driving licence.
