Carmichael are recruiting for an experienced C&I Design Engineer, for a tier one contractor, to work at AWE

You must be able to obtain security clearance

The Role:

As a Design Engineer with a C&I bias, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of control and instrumentation systems within our state-of-the-art facility. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of complex engineering projects, while adhering to the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop C&I systems for complex engineering projects, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate C&I systems into overall engineering designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to optimize system design and functionality.
  • Generate detailed engineering plans, technical specifications, and documentation.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of C&I systems, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and best practices, implementing innovations where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Engineering or a related field, with a focus on Control and Instrumentation.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of C&I systems within a regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of C&I principles, standards, and practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for system design and simulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
