The Peninsula London is excited to announce that we are seeking a

Cigar Tasting Room Manager

; a Cigar professional to lead our Tasting Room. This critical role will drive operational excellence, while ensuring a personalised and engaging luxury experience.


Located on the 8th floor of The Peninsula London, our Cigar Tasting Lounge provides a relaxed and refined ambiance in which guests of the Hotel or Brooklands will be able to enjoy a finely curated choice of cigars from our humidor. The Cigar Lounge features a bespoke walk-in humidor with a great selection of Cuban and New World cigars, including rare, vintage and limited editions, with smoking on the terrace possible.

Key accountabilities




Always ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service by providing a friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service while keeping with the core Peninsula Service Principles. Stock and inventory management within the Tasting Lounge Responsible for the efficient and courteous handling of guest inquiries. Establish and maintain colleague interactions with productive working relationships. Work closely with other departments such as Sales & Marketing or Retail Merchandising to conceptualize and implement dynamic marketing programmes to drive marketing/PR activities for the outlet. Coach, mentor and guide colleagues to curate a bespoke, market leading cigar culture and achieve optimal performance in all phases of service and job functions.



General requirements




Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a Cigar Lounge in a management role with similar standards and expectations (hotel based or standalone). All-encompassing food and beverage knowledge. London experience with great exposure to Cigar Lounge service. Excellent time management and organizational skills, highly adaptable, naturally positive. Fluent English communication proficiency. Expertise in a second language would be desirable.
