Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer with Cisco experience to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions that ensure high availability and performance. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems and networking technologies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud services, virtualisation, and security protocols.

Responsibilities

Design and implement network architectures that meet organisational needs. Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems. Manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure. Implement security measures including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to protect network integrity. Maintain documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures. Provide support for Linux-based operating systems, particularly Ubuntu. Utilise Bash Unix shell scripting for automation tasks. Ensure high availability of services through effective monitoring and maintenance.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role within IT infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Cisco switches and Cisco firepower and cloud-based solutions. Familiarity with virtualisation technologies and concepts. Proficiency in Linux operating systems, particularly Ubuntu. Understanding of Active Directory for user management and authentication. Experience with high availability configurations and strategies. Ability to write scripts using Bash Unix shell for automation purposes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate potential issues before they arise. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: 35,914.95-50,386.27 per year
