We are seeking a dedicated front of house staff to join our team at the New Moon. This role is essential in maintaining a smooth operation across three very different levels - providing exceptional customer service while supporting the management team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, while keeping calm under pressure and fostering a positive team environment.

The New Moon is a high-volume site in the heart of the City of London. Our ideal candidate will be just as comfortable working in a table-service-led restaurant environment as they are in a busy bar. Our lower-ground level combines both ways of working throughout the day, as well as shifting to a "sports bar" during important events. The ability to quickly adapt your style of service and leadership is key.

Duties

Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit. Take orders accurately and efficiently, offering menu recommendations when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and kitchen spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Assist in restocking supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Uphold the pub's standards of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. A passion for food and drink, with an eagerness to learn about our menu offerings. Knowledge of food hygiene practices is preferred but can be provided through training.
