This role can be based at any of our office locations:
London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Glasgow. At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%.
Civil Engineering underpins much of the railway's infrastructure. We focus on the long-term operation, maintenance, renewal, and enhancement of civil engineering assets, working alongside our Operations, Economic, and Safety colleagues to ensure the railway remains safe, efficient, and reliable.
You will have experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas, Track, Earthworks, Drainage, Lineside, Structures, Tunnels, Operational Property, On Track Machines, On Track Plant or Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
As a Civil Engineer within the Planning and Performance Directorate, you will undertake evidence-based assessment and monitoring of Network Rail.
