Highway Assurance are a Traffic Management, Reactive and Civil Engineering company based across East Anglia, with our head office in Barham, Suffolk.

We are seeking a skilled Surfacing Supervisor to join our team at our Barham depot.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee surfacing schemes across all business areas, including both motorway and local road networks, ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times. Maintain effective daily communication with site gangs and forepersons through regular briefings and on-site presence. Manage on-site documentation and administrative tasks in accordance with the company's Business Management System. Plan and supervise site operations to ensure work is delivered to the highest standards, meets contractual specifications, and with a 'right first time' approach. Identify out-of-scope works and escalate to the Surfacing Manager or Quantity Surveyor as appropriate. Drive cost control and operational efficiency to ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets. Motivate and support teams to achieve high performance and maintain quality workmanship. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in the surfacing industry. Proven leadership and team management skills, with a strong focus on quality and performance. A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to identifying and mitigating safety risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a range of internal and external relationships. Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence. Willingness to assist with civils supervision duties to cover staff leave or absence when required.
