We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asphalt Surfacing Supervisor to join our growing team in the South East (Areas 3 and 4).

The successful candidate will be planning and ensuring the safe, quality and efficient delivery of the on-site surfacing operations. The successful candidate will also be involved in the reviewing proposed works in advance of surfacing operations and the planning and coordination of Roadways surfacing projects.

Key responsibilities:

Delivering high profile highways and local authorities surfacing schemes Managing operational machine/paver laying operatives Preparing RAMS and other project documents Creating and managing programmes to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts: producing and monitoring resource programmes, site diaries, preparing site reports and escalating variations Carrying out pre-site visits including measurements and risk assessments Health, safety and environmental compliance requirements, ensuring processes and procedures are in place Ensuring correct permits and licences are in place Liaising with the client, management and engineers ensuring that the client's specifications and requirements are met Assessing and managing subcontractors Ensuring that paving plant and machinery are in good working order - follow up on maintenance requirements and repairs with workshop Providing advice on methods, tools, equipment and materials to management and project managers.

Qualifications and skills

CSCS Black or Gold Card SMSTS or SSSTS Supervisor NRSWA Good knowledge of asphalt materials, surfacing methods and techniques Practical understanding of NEC contracts.
