To supervise and contribute to the successful delivery of new and ongoing civil engineering contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will include, but is not limited to, the following duties
1.
Oversee the execution of civil contracts, ensuring all project timelines and contractual obligations are met in line with MW Groundworks Ltd agreements.
2.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and professional communication.
3.
Wok with the Contracts Manager to coordinate labour, plant, and material needs to meet project milestones.
4.
Ensure all site teams are organised and leave the yard in time to arrive on-site by 8:00 a.m.
5.
Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all work crews.
6.
Identify and report training needs to support workforce development and compliance.
7.
Oversee the condition and readiness of all plant and tools; report and address any faults, breakdowns, or damages.
8.
Order materials and small tools as required to maintain site productivity.
9.
Completion of 'extras' book and any other administrative paperwork requirement.
10.
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
11.
Maintain accurate administrative records, ensuring the correct recording of additional works by Foreman and Chargehands.
12.
Ensuring all plant used is maintained and breakdowns/breakages are reported.
13.
Ensure all equipment is inspected and compliant with PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations).
14.
Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected and compliant with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations).
