Restek UK Limited is a specialist civil engineering and ground remediation contractor delivering geopolymer and polyacrylate grouting, structural stabilisation, and void filling across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Foreman to lead national projects in ground treatment and consolidation. This role involves managing site delivery, resources, subcontractors, and programme progress while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations for geopolymer and polyacrylate grouting projects
- Lead site teams and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Establish and monitor site programmes and construction methods
- Review buildability and seek commercial or programme benefits
- Maintain safety standards, site setup, temporary works, and environmental controls
- Attend and document site meetings, ensuring key actions are implemented
Key Responsibilities
Establish and monitor
key stage programmes
and deliver works to agreed milestones.
Set up and secure sites, maintaining
site huts, hoardings, and signboards
to a professional standard.
Take possession of site and coordinate all
trade and subcontractor activities
efficiently.
interpret technical drawings and specifications and
clearly communicate instructions
to the workforce and suppliers.
Ensure that
method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
are completed and implemented for all high-risk activities.
Proactively identify and request any outstanding project information from the design/professional team.
Confirm and document all verbal instructions and variations.
Ensure that all necessary permissions (e.g.
Building Control licences
) are secured before commencing works.
Review
buildability
and identify methods of construction that offer
commercial or programme advantage
.
Collaborate with the
Environmental Co-ordinator
to implement environmental controls and work toward the
site HSE plan objectives
.
Attend and contribute to
site meetings (client, subcontractor, internal)
and issue accurate notes and action logs.
Maintain control of site activities in accordance with company standards for
quality, safety, environmental, and operational procedures
.
Coordinate plant, labour, materials, and subcontractors to ensure seamless delivery.
Lead daily activity briefings and
toolbox talks
, maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
Manage works involving
geopolymer and polyacrylate grouting
, including ground treatment and void filling techniques.
Supervise temporary works, excavation safety, lifting operations, and working at heights.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in civil engineering or remediation as a Foreman or Site Manager
- Proven track record in ground treatment, grouting, or structural remediation
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
- CSCS Card (essential), First Aid, and SSSTS/SMSTS preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationally
