Job Description

AVT Services are now recruiting for a Multi skilled Tradesman to work as part of a team for the national installation of infrastructure for mobile telecoms network.

The suitable candidates will work as part of a two-man team but must be able to work independently and be able to work in conjunction with other contractors at sites.

Remuneration package:

Daily rate of up to 200.00 per day

Telecoms specific site training requirement provided

PPE Provided

We are searching for individuals who are competent in at least two of the following trades:

Joinery

Plastering

Roofing

Steel installation

The ideal candidate will possess: A City and Guilds level 3 (in their trained field), must be a good allrounder who can work as part of a team and carry out the works with a second man.

Personal attributes:

Must be a team player who is willing to assist team members to achieve the end goal

Must be quick thinking and use own initiative for problem solving

Must be reliable, hardworking, and organised - taking responsibility for themselves

Enjoy working in a physical work environment, in all weathers, and be prepared to multitask

Must be an effective communicator

Willingness to work away from home and overnight - our work is nationwide

Typical workstreams include but are not limited to:

Rooftop works

o Opening roofs for support plinth casting and rooftop steel assembly.

o Installation of safety handrail

o Installation and testing of fall arrest anchor points to complete fall arrest systems

o Rooftop repair works and installation of poles and steel works to building

Maintenance Projects

o Construction of timber frames / cladding

o Removal of vegetation from site.

o Grouting works / Lightening protection

Requirements:

Full Driving Licence (up to 3 points) Typical working week 40 hours General industry certificates, such as abrasive wheels, manual handling, first aid etc
Additional items:

Any machinery or plant competences and certifications an advantage.
