About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Civils Operative to join our team dedicated to delivering Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out civil works such as trenching, ducting, pole installation, and site preparation to facilitate fibre optic network deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Excavate trenches and lay ducts to facilitate fibre optic cable installation. Install poles, cabinets, and other civil infrastructure as per project specifications. Assist with the threading and pulling of fibre cables through ducts. Conduct site surveys and prepare work areas for fibre installation. Follow health and safety protocols at all times during civil works. Collaborate with team members and contractors to ensure timely project completion. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Ensure all civil activities meet industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in civils work, ideally within FTTP or telecommunications projects. Knowledge of excavation, ducting, and pole installation. Valid UK driving license and own transport preferred. Good understanding of health and safety procedures. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong team player with good communication skills.

Desirable:

CSCS or CPCS certification. Experience with fibre optic cable installation and splicing. Knowledge of GIS or CAD software.
