We are a leading provider of telecoms, power, and EV charging infrastructure across the UK. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Civils Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and management of all civil engineering works across multiple projects and locations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while maintaining strong commercial control and ensuring all works are completed and ready for client invoicing.
The Role
The Civils Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of civils activities across multiple active sites. This includes managing site teams, subcontractors, and ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and client expectations.A strong commercial awareness is essential, as the role involves ensuring all completed works are properly recorded, closed off, and ready for payment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage civils delivery across telecoms, power, and EV charging projects.
Lead and support project teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely closure of jobs for client invoicing and payment.
Drive compliance with CDM 2015, NRSWA, HAUC, and all relevant HSEQ requirements.
Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to meet delivery and performance targets.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, local authorities, and subcontractors.
Promote continuous improvement, sustainability, and best practice across all civils operations.
Provide regular reports on delivery performance, costs, and productivity.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years' experience in civil engineering management roles.
Proven experience managing civils delivery in telecoms, power, and/or EV charging projects.
Strong leadership and organisational skills with a focus on accountability and performance.
Solid commercial understanding, with experience managing job closure and payment readiness.
Knowledge of NRSWA, CDM 2015, HAUC, and other relevant industry standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong technical background with a relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management)
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
