Position: Civils Projects Manager

Responsible to: Directors

Responsible for: Supervisors

Key responsibility: Overseeing the safe and on time delivery of contracts

Main Duties:

Overseeing civil engineering projects from inquiry to completion, including the organisation of delivery teams.

Plan projects and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the job without delays.

Carry out site visits for new projects and support the associated pricing exercise.

Troubleshooting site issues.

Ensure procurement of materials is carried out to best value and to prevent delays.

Ensure site team compliance with Company policies and procedures, including RAMS and CDM.

Attend and deliver pre-start meetings to the site team.

Produce and analyse progress reports when required.

Ensure correct engagement of subcontractors.

Implement the safe working procedures, via the site teams.

Ensure significant project variations (time and cost) are escalated to the Directors immediately.

The ideal candidate:

Holds an HNC or equivalent in construction, project management, or a related field

Has a proven track record in delivering civil projects, including prior hands on experience.

Possesses excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations

Demonstrates excellent communication and management skills

Is proficient in IT tools, including Office 365 and online portals.

Holds valid UK driving licence (travel required).

Is solution orientated and demonstrates a 'can do' attitude.

Salary:

50 k to 60 k (depending on experience) + vehicle

Working hours:

Monday to Friday - 7 am to 5 pm

Holidays:

20, plus public holidays.
