Job Summary



Are you fed up with site works, same thing every day? Or fed up working away with little to no family time or constant night shifts?

We are looking for talented, driven, civil engineers or groundworks capable of thinking on their feet and applying their broad knowledge to a variety of short day works, reactive repairs and call outs. Alongside drainage repairs, larger concrete or paving works and working in live sites. It can be busy but no 2 days are the same, there is good variety in the jobs. Overtime and evening shifts are available to those who want extra hours but our main works are 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Civils Squads are responsible for executing various civil engineering tasks, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves working collaboratively within a team to deliver short duration projects, including reactive civils repairs, tarmac repairs, drainage systems repairs and installation, concrete works and other civils projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety protocols often on live sites.

Duties



Assist in the repair and installation of drains, bollards, concrete, tarmac, . Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Report any issues or discrepancies to the manager promptly. Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to civil engineering practices.

Requirements



Previous experience in civil engineering or construction is essential. Ability to operate relevant machinery (e.g., excavators, dumpers) is preferred. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. A valid driving licence is desirable for transportation purposes on-site. Pay: Up to 18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 48 per week
