Onyx Civils is a rapidly growing heavy civil engineering company in Motcombe, Dorset, seeking a full-time person for the commercial management of the business.
Responsibilities
This is an office-based role but will include customer & site visits
Managing and negotiating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Handle contracts meticulously to ensure the company is safeguarded in respect of contractual notifications progress, cost, quality etc
Working closely with managers to ensure financial goals are met
Preparation of project financial reports
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Preparing bill of quantities, budgeting and cost control for projects
Working closely with our engineer & accounts for measuring works on site & submission of monthly valuations
Generating new business leads
Requirements
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and industry best practices
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Excellent numeracy & IT skills, including competence in relevant software applications (Bluebeam/CAD/excel etc.)
Valid driving licence
Postgraduate's will be considered
