CL Warehouse Team Leader


Hours: Full time,40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00AM - 17.00PM

About the position:




To deliver direction for all elements of the warehouse operation of the distribution and storage process within a busy warehouse area and any support functions related to it. To include, but not exclusively, Inbound and Outbound processing, effective staff and resource planning and control, housekeeping and the maintenance of a safe working environment, the generation of continuous improvements initiatives and delivery within a kaizen environment. The role will also require a high level of professionalism that will involve working closely with the management team in order to ensure that the operation meets high quality standards including the consistent attainment of standards accreditation and achieving customer KPI's and SLA requirements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:



Control their appointed warehouse operatives to deliver a high level of performance for all relevant customers Propose resource and staff requirements to the Management team in order to deliver the operational requirements in an efficient manner to maintain high levels of performance Ensure all operational activities such as unloading, put away, picking and loading is completed in a timely and professional manner To support the successful delivery of all customer stock checks on the site Liaise effectively with all the operational support resources, staff and activities in order to help maintain the smooth completion of the operation, to include order processing and inbound receipt, stock management, statistical recording and report creation where necessary Monitor and manage all relevant warehouse operational costs within their responsibility To ensure that all customer requirements are achieved on a daily basis as per the agreed SLA requirements Help to deliver operational analysis and collect relevant data and observations and encourage and help deliver continuous improvement initiatives To ensure that all customer quality requirements are achieved to standard To play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives and warehouse housekeeping to create and maintain a positive Kaizen environment To control on site any suppliers or contractors To maintain all MHE requirements for the site with specific schedules and records for maintenance programs and damages Ensure that staff training is kept up to date especially on MHE and systems and retraining is completed where necessary To ensure that all relevant risk assessments and SSOW are maintained for all areas of responsibility To complete all relevant staff disciplinary requirements in conjunction with the HR department and managers on site Liaise directly on a day to day operational level with the customer to ensure the smooth delivery of the contract as per their requirements To help monitor staff performance and attendance, control holidays and agency requirements to ensure operational performance is maintained at all times To ensure that all health and safety guidelines and policies are adhered to at all times thus maintaining a safe working environment To ensure a clean working environment is maintained and appropriate housekeeping activities are completed within the depot where necessary To communicate effectively with their team to ensure that relevant information is passed on appropriately Any other duties required by the Operations Manager.

About you:




The ideal candidate will be educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade or equivalent; grade A-C and be able to demonstrate highly competent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft office.

NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing Supervisory experience Experience of working in a warehouse or production environment General awareness of Heath and Safety requirements within a warehouse environment/able to assess risk

Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
