Are you a conscientious and hardworking claims professional with experience in Healthcare claims handling, especially Medical Malpractice in the UK? CFC is seeking a talented Claims Adjuster to further strengthen our claims team and help us deliver high-quality service to policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers.


As a Claims Adjuster at CFC, you'll work closely with colleagues across Claims, Underwriting, Finance, IT, and Products, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and statutory requirements (including FCA and Lloyd's obligations). You'll play a key part in maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting our capacity providers as an effective TPA.

About the role





Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:Proactively handle claims from first notification of loss (FNOL) to settlement, including coverage, legal liability, and quantum analysis, in line with CFC's delegated authorities and Claims Handling Guidelines. Ensure prompt and accurate reserving, pursue relevant third-party recoveries, and reduce claims leakage. Foster strong relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers, driving excellent customer service. Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, including those set by lawsuits, demand letters, and claims queries. Collaborate with CFC's panel of service providers to ensure quality and value for money within required timeframes and guidelines. Perform general claims administrative duties, including electronic file management, payment requests, and management information production. Support the Specialty Lines Claims Manager, Claims Director, and wider claims team, attend underwriting meetings, and provide feedback on claims issues/trends. Escalate claims-related issues to the Specialty Lines Claims Manager and Claims Director as needed.


About you



What We're Looking For:

Experience in Healthcare claims handling, with a focus on Medical Malpractice in the UK. Experience working on Life Science claims would be a bonus Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk principles.
