We're recruiting for Claims Advisors to join our Life Insurance Claims team in Hove, on a starting salary of 25,000. If you're passionate about helping others in need and naturally empathetic, this could be the role for you.
You will work 35 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 0900-1730. We have a hybrid working model where you can work from home 3 days and the office 2 days a week.
What you'll be doing:
Taking inbound calls and responding to emails from our customers who are looking for an update on their life insurance claim
Making a difference to our customers, specifically those who hold protection policies with us. You'll be making sure that their claim is dealt with sensitively and efficiently
Completing and managing claim tasks in conjunction with best practice guides, accurately and in a timely manner
Taking responsibility for all customer communication, keeping the customer informed
Identifying complaints and taking ownership for trying to resolve them
Liaising with third parties such as reinsurers and medical providers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
Utilising the most appropriate method of contact and ensuring that customers' expectations of service are met
Contributing to claims projects or other team or department initiatives
Qualifications

Strong communication skills and passion to support customers, whatever their personal circumstances.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Offering support and feedback to other colleagues, contributing to a highly motivated, straightforward, and collaborative culture.
For our most vulnerable customers, you'll ensure you consider their circumstances and needs and take additional steps to support them through their interactions with Legal & General.
Confidence in using a desktop or laptop and experienced in using MS Office.
Ability to anticipate and resolve problem
Ability to manage own time productively and prioritise workload effectively
