Required Competencies:



Claims handling experience, managing claims from first notification through to settlement / closure.

Good communication and drafting skills, reports to underwriters. Triaging claims / claims inbox management. Claims admin tasks, e.g. opening /closing claims. Working through outstanding diaries. Sending chaser emails asking for updates from brokers, lawyers, insureds etc. Preparing documents to pay invoices, updating financials on claims management system. Updating claims notified via a TPA claims bordereaux to include, status / development updates, financial / reserve updates etc. Collaboration with Claims, Operations, and Finance and other key stakeholders to ensure consistency in claim handling and policy application

Key Responsibilities:



Help to deliver an excellent service by understanding roles across the business.

Proactive and able to work independently to meet deadlines. Applying sound judgement and problem-solving skills. Ability to structure the day effectively, prioritising tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to adapt to different audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, excel and word

Ensure all claims correspondence is filed accurately on the claims system.


Knowledge Required



Working knowledge of insurance principles

Proficient understanding of all major Microsoft programmes including excel

This role will report directly into the GAUK Senior Claims Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00 per year
