Overview

We're seeking a Claims Handler to join our Casualty Claims team in Chelmsford, who can deliver outstanding results in claims handling, ensuring our client receives the best possible service and outcomes.

As part of a dedicated team, you'll oversee a portfolio of claims, from initial notification of the claim, through to settlement. You'll be responsible for making decisions on fraud, quantum and liability, including handling cases through litigation.

How you'll make an impact

Effective communication will be a key aspect of your role, as you will be required to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives. We're looking for proactive and hard-working claims handlers, who can build and maintain strong client relationships.Oversee a portfolio of Casualty Claims, from initial notification through to settlement Investigate and assess the validity of claims, gathering all necessary information and evidence Negotiate settlements and make decisions on liability and settlement amounts Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities and communications

About You

You're an empathetic individual who can remain calm and composed when dealing with customers You'll be able to explain complex language in simple terms, either in writing and/or over the phone You work well independently and as part of a team You have attention to detail and can effectively focus on tasks in a fast-paced environment
