About the role:




As Ground Movement claims handler, we want you to be the focal point for our customers guiding them though the claims process from start to finish. Working closely with our surveying team and our suppliers, you will have a customer-focused approach, delivering excellent customer service to our customers in their time of need.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide excellent customer service, over the phone and in writing. Conduct initial assessments of new claims, including reviewing policy documents Manage a caseload of subsidence claims from inception to completion Appoint and instruct professionals, such as surveyors to investigate the cause and extent of damage Communicate regularly with our customers, third parties and contractors to provide updates on claim progress and answer claim queries Review and analyse reports from our external experts Maintain accurate and detailed records on claims Identify and escalate complex or high-value claims to management as required.

Key Requirements:



At least 2 years experience in a household insurance claims handling role Knowledge/understanding of subsidence is desired though not a requirement Tact and assertiveness when dealing with customers who may be distressed or angry Helpfulness and a passion for customer service
