Claims Handler (in House)

Job Description

We are looking for Claims Handlers to join a growing team based in central Sheffield, working 3-4 days from the office and remotely for the remainder of days.

This opportunity is ideal for law graduates, particularly those holding an LPC or equivalent legal certification, who are keen to apply their legal knowledge in a dynamic claims environment.

The role provides valuable hands-on experience in insurance claims handling, with clear pathways for professional development.

Duties

Manage your own caseload of claims Review incoming claims for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all documentation is provided. Process claims by entering and verifying data against policy details. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to clarify details or gather additional information Maintain detailed records of claim progress and correspondence Escalate complex or high-risk claims for further review Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices
Qualifications and skills

Law degree Candidates with or without LPC, but with a strong interest in this field. Demonstrated interest in insurance, claims, or legal compliance Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, etc.) Ability to work independently and collaboratively
