Are you an experienced professional in the reinsurance industry looking for a new challenge?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Asia Pacific team within Reinsurance as a Claims Technician. This pivotal role is based in Ipswich and involves daily interaction with our London and regional offices within Asia, as well as our clients in the Asia Pacific regions. The successful candidate will have facultative reinsurance experience.

How you'll make an impact
Promptly receive and action client claims or cash call instructions, ensuring effective communication to acquire swift agreement.
Advise, update, and negotiate claim agreements with reinsurers in accordance with contract conditions.
Manage and resolve queries from clients and reinsurers, escalating when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, third parties, and reinsurers, working closely with the Client Service Manager and/or Operations Director.
Collaborate with Placement Support and your team to deliver exceptional client service to Gallagher Re clients.
Ensure all correspondence is stored on E-filing and necessary documents are attached to the Open Twins processing system.
Support Account and Settlement associates to ensure timely and secure handling of client monies.
Perform Second Pair Of Eyes (SPOE) checks and adhere to all standard Group policies and procedures, including CEM and regulatory requirements.
About You
Educated to A level standard or possess relevant industry experience.
Experience in facultative insurance.
Familiarity with broking systems,
Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and grow.
Strong relationship-building skills with brokers, clients, and markets.
Good time management skills to meet timeframes and balance multiple responsibilities.
Technical knowledge of reinsurance policies relevant to your business unit.
Willingness to travel to London periodically.
