We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing claims efficiently and accurately. This role is vital in ensuring that claims are handled in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our clients.
Responsibilities
Managing and progressing your portfolio of Small Track RTA claims with accuracy.
Process claims by entering data into the system and verifying information against policy details. Obtaining relevant evidence to support liability and quantum.
Communicate with clients, insurers, brokers, Solicitors, the Court and Barristers
Maintain organised records of all processed claims, including correspondence and documentation.
Review all correspondence and emails within our service level agreements, keeping clients regularly updated.
Draft letters, pleadings and other documents relevant to the claim, prepare evidence for hearings and witness statements, instruct Barristers/Counsel to attend hearings, whilst complying with court directions and deadlines.
Negotiate between the parties to reach a settlement.
Stay updated on industry regulations and company policies to ensure compliance in all claim handling activities.
Skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent clerical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to claims processing.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies or issues within claims.
Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in documentation and procedures.
It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
