Job Overview



Latent Defect Claims Handler

As a Latent Defect Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing and processing claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. You will work closely with internal teams, insurers, and clients to deliver timely and accurate claim resolutions while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Duties



Claims Management: Handle end-to-end claims processing, from initial notification to final settlement, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, insurers, and third parties to provide updates and resolve queries. Assessment & Investigation: Review claims documentation, conduct necessary investigations, and liaise with relevant parties to assess claim validity. Policy & Compliance Adherence: Ensure all claims are processed in line with company policies, insurer requirements, and regulatory standards. Dispute Resolution: Identify and manage claim disputes effectively, escalating complex cases when necessary. Record-Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of claims activity, including claims registers. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure a seamless claims process and continuous service improvement Ensure that all claims' files are kept up to date.

Qualifications



Previous experience in Latent Defect and property claims is preferrable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise workload. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of claim processing. Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to claims processing. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, surveyors and contractors.
Work hours - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

25 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays and 3 days for Christmas shutdown

Office is based in Torpoint

Remote working with occasional travel at company's expense with occasional overnight stays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 20,000.00-30,000.00 per year
