Role Summary
The Claims Improvement Manager will lead initiatives to enhance the effectiveness, quality, and consistency of our property claims function. Working closely with the Operations Director, you'll focus on three core areas:
Operational Management- oversee day-to-day claims activities and drive process efficiency.
People Development & Culture -support team performance, coaching, and engagement.
Change & Transformation -deliver continuous improvement, system enhancements, and process innovation.
This role is ideal for a highly organised, people-focused leader with strong experience in claims operations, building, and restoration property claims.
Key Responsibilities
Champion best practice in claims handling, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Act as a key liaison between claims operations and senior management, providing updates on project progress, outcomes, and KPIs.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the claims function.
Lead claims improvement and process optimisation projects.
Develop and deliver training, audit feedback, and change management plans.
Support smooth implementation of new processes and maintain regulatory compliance.
People Development & Leadership
Lead structured quarterly performance reviews for admins, handlers and team leaders.
Support the Prism Claims Group teams in setting objectives, delivering efficiency plans and managing under performance.
Promote a coaching led culture, helping team leaders and a handlers become better managers and communicators.
Identify skills gaps and coordinate training or mentoring programmes.
Drive engagement and recognition across the claims operation.
Change & Transformation
Lead key operational change initiatives with minimal disruption
Translate business objectives into tangible actions that improve efficiency, quality, and team morale.
Build a continuous improvement mindset, ensuring change is adopted and sustained across all teams.
Audit, Quality & Compliance
Oversee internal audits and quality reviews, tracking trends and improvement actions.
Ensure operational compliance with ISO and client audit standards.
Support the development of MI dashboards to monitor team and process performance.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in operational leadership within Insurance property claims, building reinstatement and property restoration.
Strong track record of leading teams through change and improving performance.
Skilled in people management, coaching, and performance development.
Comfortable creating and implementing process improvements with measurable outcomes.
Excellent communicator able to influence at all levels of the organisation.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and organisation skills.
