Claims Specialist, London Market Claims

Are you an experienced Claims Handler with London Market exposure (or with the desire to break into the London Market) ? Can you bring outstanding client care skills enabling you to secure the best possible outcome(s) for your clients ? If so, then we\'d love to hear from you in connection with this hybrid role that has the flexibility to work both virtually from home and from our Chelmsford offices.

What the day will look like

In this wide and varied role some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Claim advice: Notification of claims, circulation of subsequent advice and arranging settlements with carriers. Liaise with line management in case of queries
  • Claims handling: Liaison with placement teams, specialists, network offices, clients, underwriters and appointed experts (loss adjusters, lawyers etc.) to ensure prompt agreement, settlement and payment of the claim - escalating to line management as required
  • Technical administration: utilising specialist IT and maintaining accurate electronic claims files.
  • Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history for a client or business portfolio, and to identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segment

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience of end to end claims handling
  • Understanding of London market systems and processes
  • Property insurance
  • Must have a good analytical approach, evidenced by previous fact-based decision making and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines as an individual and as part of a team.
