Job Description

As our Class 1 and 2 Drainage Tanker Driver, you will take a leading role as part of a dynamic two-person team. You will be responsible for operating a tanker equipped with high-pressure water jetting equipment. Your daily duties will include resolving drainage issues, such as clearing blockages, vacuuming flooded areas, and cleansing pipework. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of drainage systems.

Working away and nightwork will be an essential requirement of the role.

Your existing knowledge of drainage systems and Jet Vac tankers is essential for this position. Having qualifications related to high-pressure water jetting, working at height, and confined spaces would significantly support your application. While full training will be provided in line with Quest procedures, your prior experience will be highly valued and beneficial.

What Are We Looking For?

Driving Licence:

A full UK Class 1 and 2 driving licence is required to operate our fleet of vehicles.

Flexibility and Availability:

Flexibility in your work schedule, including being available for assignments that require travel and overnight stays away from home.

Experience with Tankers:

Experience operating tankers, and barrel tankers is advantageous. Familiarity with these vehicles will help you hit the ground running.

Drainage Industry Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in the drainage industry, with specific knowledge of Jet Vac tankers, is essential. This experience will enable you to handle the daily challenges of the role effectively.

High-Pressure Water Jetting:

Strong knowledge and practical experience in using high-pressure water jetting equipment are crucial for performing your duties safely and efficiently.

Relevant Qualifications:

Possessing role-specific qualifications such as high-pressure water jetting, working at height, and confined spaces will strengthen your application and demonstrate your readiness for the role.

Equipment Proficiency:

Good experience using various drainage equipment and tools is necessary for the diverse tasks you will encounter.

IT Competence:

Competency in using IT equipment, such as mobile phones or tablet devices, is required to manage job-related tasks and communication.

Teamwork and Independence:

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential. You will need to collaborate with colleagues while also being able to take initiative and work alone when necessary.
