Overview

A vacancy has arisen for a vacuum tanker driver, based at our depot near Scarborough. This is a full time, permanent position and may involve evening and weekend work.

We are seeking an experienced Tanker Driver / Operator to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, experience with vacuum tanker operation and the ability to manage the demands of a busy schedule. It is preferable to already have your current CPC Qualification, be able to work on your own initiative and have a good knowledge of the local areas.

Salary will be dependant on your level of experience.

Duties

Operate tanker and vacuum equipment to successfully empty septic tanks and conduct vacuum and cleaning operations. Driving HGV vehicles to transport liquid waste to designated locations. Deal with customers face to face and over the phone. Deliver high levels of customer service at all times. Conduct pre-start checks of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of work undertaken as per your instruction. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Communicate effectively with the team regarding schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure proper loading and unloading of waste, following safety protocols at all times. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the vacuum tanker.
