We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in flatbed/ stepframe low loader operations . This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to various destinations. The successful applicant will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on the road. Night out will be required and weekend if required. You will be working for small family company so team player is essential, you will need to be polite to customers onsite as you will be the face of the company whilst driving, willing to help other driver load and if required to sheet machinery, chain down plant and forklifts> we work on many sites where sites rules as working at height etc need to be adhered to. We move machinery so sheeting will be involved so physical fitness is required

wages, paid weekly, 40 basic hours plus overtime at time and half, night out money is 30, all parking is paid.

Duties

Operate flatbed/ stepframe low loaders to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) class 1 Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, particularly with flatbed lorries. to keep your truck in top condition ensure all loads are secured correctly
