Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled, AM Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team in Preston. We require a day tramper driver who will be responsible for distributions across the UK in a refrigerated truck. This position is 24/7 so various tramping shifts are available including weekend starts. There is an opportunity for a permanent position if desired.

This role requires a strong commitment to safety regulations and excellent driving skills, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in compliance with all relevant laws.

This position pays breaks and a minimum 10 hours per day.

Pay Rate

Inclusive of holiday pay:

17.93 per hour Monday to Friday

20.17 per hour Saturday

22.41 per hours Sunday

Night out allowance is 25.00.

Duties

Making deliveries across the UK in a refrigerated lorry. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of freight transported. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling hazardous materials. Communicate effectively with planners, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry. Assist with loading and unloading of load as required.

Experience

Proven experience as a HGV driver desired. Valid HGV licence with appropriate endorsements. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transportation across the UK. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with delivery schedules and documentation.
