Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team,starting at 7am and finish approximately 5pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with curtain side tail lift trailers, and involves ensuring timely and secure deliveries.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for safe transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the lorry.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules. Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
