Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled class 1 day Driver to join our General haulage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires the candidates to have good communication with our customers and the operations team. Previous experience of working with a curtain sided trailers and tail-lift with pallet truck is preferred but not essential as training is provided.

Duties

Operate lorries for the safe transportation of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip electronic inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Communicate effectively with operations staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries via our existing POD system. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road. Nights out available - on average 3 per week No weekend work

Experience

Previous experience as a Commercial Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and clients. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required along with a valid driver CPC.
