Class 1 HIAB Driver - Coventry - Temp to Perm

We are currently seeking an experienced

Class 1 HIAB Driver

to join a well-established machinery moving and heavy haulage company based in

Coventry

.

This is a

full-time, temp-to-perm

opportunity for a professional

Class 1 HIAB Driver

with proven experience in heavy equipment transport and crane operation. The role involves operating Class 1 vehicles equipped with HIAB/crane systems to move industrial machinery across various customer sites.

Salary:

18.00 per hour Overtime available on weekends (Saturday at 1.5x, Sunday at 2x hourly rate)

Key Responsibilities - Class 1 HIAB Driver:

Perform daily vehicle safety inspections Operate HIAB/crane equipment to load/unload industrial machinery Ensure loads are properly strapped and secured Visit customer sites for machinery moves, installations, or removals Follow Tachograph and driver hours regulations at all times

Essential Requirements - Class 1 HIAB Driver:

Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence Experience operating HIAB/crane-mounted vehicles Knowledge of load restraint (strapping and chaining) Ability to work independently and safely on client sites Solid understanding of UK transport safety and compliance

Desirable Qualifications:

Forklift Truck (B3) licence

Working Hours - Class 1 HIAB Driver:

Monday to Friday - 07:00 starts (minimum 8 hours paid) Saturday shifts paid at 1.5x hourly rate Sunday shifts paid at 2x hourly rate (minimum 6 hours)
